Thankful for family, friends, PICU staff, transplant team, peds cardiology staff, peds cardiothoracic surgery staff and everyone who has been a part of Haileys journey so far! I am not going to lie and say that it has been easy. In fact, the first couple weeks were very stressful during this part. The infection that Hailey got in her lungs was bad enough that it is a true blessing that she was so strong going in and has that fighter in her! The medicine that she was on and being immobile for longer than expected will definitely make physical therapy tougher, and has really messed with her sleeping. The great news is though, she has come so far in the last couple days! There is also talk of moving to the regular floor as early as tomorrow or next. Although we will miss our PICU friends, I know this is huge progress and one step closer to home! I am excited to see all that Hailey does with this special gift ♡ We appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers for Hailey, the precious donors family, and for all our new friends that are going through a similar journey ♡ we could not have dealt with all this without the love, support, prayers, and medical expertise of so many♡ Love and hugs to all- Brigitte
