Thankful to God for more things than I could ever possibly list, but today Im especially thankful that when we pray, He is faithful not only to hear our prayers, but to answer them according to His perfect will. A year ago I was praying very specifically for something that I hoped would be answered in a certain way. Today I realized that prayer has indeed been answered, not by the sudden and dramatic changing of my circumstances that Id hoped for, but by the gradual changing of my heart and attitude through a year spent growing in my relationship and walk with Christ. Thankful today that Gods ways are not my ways, and that He is far more concerned with our sanctification process than He is with our temporary happiness and relief provided by the things of this world.
