Thankfulness challenge day 2: my mom passed away four years ago, a beloved aunt passed two days after. It was the worst time in our lives but despite the grief and heartache, I will be eternally grateful for how the loss of our Judy Hertwig and Debbie Stang Schneider has brought me so much closer to my beautiful cousins, Lesley Schneider and Sarah Louise. I have also been blessed with closer relationships with my aunts, Carol Matts, Kathy Schneider Pluta Reihl and Sue Zanco. I think its strengthened our family in many ways. Take a moment today to call your mom or that aunt, uncle or cousin, or old friend youve lost touch with. I know this sounds cliche but I am grateful for Facebook. It has allowed me to build relationships with many family members who are spread out across the country. Ive reconnected with old friends Id lost touch with, even developed new friendships.
