Thanking God for his protecting hand tonight. When Ed got home from work he decided to rearrange the garage so we could get the Suburban in. We still have stuff sitting helter-skelter from doing corn yesterday. He thought he was too dirty to get in the vehicle to drive it in so he let Katelynn do the driving. He was standing in front of it directing her and when he told her to stop she hit the gas instead of the brake. Pinching him between the storage cabinet and the vehicle. The freezer was what got her stopped and she had whitts enought to shut the vehicle down. His leg was giving him much pain and he could bear no weight on it. We left for xrays and let the family appliance people take charge of the demolished freezer. Thanks to Andrew Sheila Burkholder, for having a new freezer in place when we returned home from the ER. The xrays showed no broken bones, only bad bruises, pulled/strained muscles. We are so very grateful. He will need to use crutches for a few days/weeks. The vehicle has some minor damage, and the garage wall will need some repair work. The cabinet broke to pieces and that is what saved him from more serious injuries. Now hopefully he has enough pain meds in him to get him through the night, because the longer it goes the more sore spots are showing up.
