Thanks Anjan da for introducing Zhang-Ke to me, a couple of years ago. Here speaks one of the founding father, a master of Chinese new-wave, about his style, the concerns of a filmmaker and imperatives. I support his view that we dont need to adopt to western school, we can create our own way of film-making, a third alternative. Films in Asia will be a powerful tool to social explorations- our alienation, expectation and anger, only film can show what we are.
