Thanks all friends who have expressed their concern and solidarity with the Philippines during this most difficult time. My family and loved ones are out of harms way but so many more have had to bear the full brunt of Natures fury. The photos from the Visayas region, especially from Tacloban, are heartbreaking. We grieve and mourn for those who have lost their own loved ones and friends - lives that cannot be replaced. As reports from people on the ground trickle in, we continue to pray for everyone back home. While we believe in the strong and resilient spirit of the Filipino, we share in the pain and suffering of our countrymen and women. We remember the death and the destruction and call attention to the plight of those who need help the most by posting a profile photo of complete darkness. No selfies. By doing so, we hope to spark greater self-awareness as a people and as a country and move people to collective awareness and action. We must remember. We must never forget. As our countrymen and women continue to suffer, let us do what we can to help others under these very difficult times. We are not alone in facing this challenge. Together, we will rise above this.
