David beckham- The reason why I started following ManUtd- the most stylish and inspiring player for me (You can still find his poster in my home which I bought 12 years back) 2. Paul Scholes- The player you can depend on anytime and his long balls- thats another way how you define accuracy. 3. John terry- Probably he saves more shots than the goalkeeper himself in any team (both Chelsea and England)I still love watching his goal line clearances. 4. Paolo Maldini- The god of sliding tackle- Never goes wrong when he tackles (Maldini and Nesta is still considered the best defensive combination) 5. Ronaldinho- The ball listens to what he says- Freestyle king and can humiliate even the star studded players easily with his ball control skills. 6. Zinedine Zidane- Master with both the foot- an inspiration for the entire team 7. Fabio Cannavaro- one of the reasons why Italy won the 2006 Fifa worldcup. 8. Francesco Totti- No words to describe him- just awesome even at this age- The colleseum doesnt come to my mind when I think of rome- Its Totti whom I can imagine when I hear Rome 9. Alessandro Del Piero- One of the few players who remains loyal to his club team. Love his long range strikes. 10.Diego Forlan- The most reliable player in Uruguay (But sadly didnt win much titles)- A player who works tirelessly for the team. 11. Edwin Van der sar- If Rio and Vidic were the defence wall- you are the backbone of the Defence. I nominate Muthu Sriram Santhosh Venkataraman Vinothkumar and Prem Jagajeevan Jothi for the top 10 Footballers challenge.
