Thanks for harkening to voice of reason: I wish to thank the members of committee on governance at the on going National Conference for allowing reason to overcome sentiment. They unanimously agreed that for equity and tranquility, the South-East geopolitical zone should be alloted another state to make it six, so as to measure up with other geopolitical zones in Nigeria. This is a step forward in correcting the anomalies being melted on the Igbo nation. I wish to also draw their attention concerning the office of the president. I think in order to grant every zone sense of belonging in this country of ours, we need a rotational presidency among all the zones. It can be rotate in such a manner where if the president is from Southeast, the vice will be from Northeast vice versa. It is a known fact that Nigeria as a nation is built on religious and ethnic sentiment and such require that any decision to make this country great again we need a comprehensive and inclusive decision that will afford every tribe and religion the opportunity the at the helm of affairs of this country. I pray that during their plenary session both the sixth state of the Southeast and rotational presidency will get the nod of the delegates.
