Thanks for the add This is a little about I was an adopted child, I grew up with a complete different name. I always had a drawing toward the Native American Indian never knowing why there was this pull. Well to make a long story short in 79 Jesus found me and in time of worship I would have vision and in 82 the vision came true and I found my biological dad then two weeks later I found my biological mom and that when it was revealed to me that I was part Cherokee that my Great Great grandma was full blooded Cherokee married to a full blooded Cherokee Chief and well the other day I was talking to my mom and I asked some questions because a few years back when her second husband crossover she went to Maryland to visit her cousin Bernice which she said she hadnt seen in 40 yrs while she was there visiting her cousin Bernice, Bernice told my mom did you know that we are related to Pocahontas. I asked my mom a few more question about my Ancestors and she shared some more things about Great Grandmother and my Grandmother our Cherokee connection. However there is a lot of info I have been trying to get but most of the info has passed on to the other side. Then my mom tell me this funny story about her second husband which would be my step dad, That he is related to General Custer. My Grandma Ruby was 3/4 Cherokee, I got to know her for about a half a year before leaving Ohio for San Diego,Ca for boot camp I left on Grandma Rubys birthday on the 04 Oct 83. On the 11th of Oct. 83 I turned 25. I am proud to be Cherokee and I am trying to learn more and more about my Cherokee Ancestors. Thanks for allowing me in this group.
