Thanks goodness for the little voice in my head. I had a nice lunch today at my favorite neighborhood restaurant, Union Kitchen. I paid with cash then walked out...got to my car and suddenly that voice said, Did you put down the $20? I ran back in - nope. I had left a few singles for a tip but didnt pay for the actual bill. Oh my gosh! At least I realized and got it paid. That would have been so bad for the waiter and so embarrassing for me next time I went back.
