Thanks to Anon Disraeli for his/her post on our page and for being a voice of reason. Glad to see groups like this take an interest in the murder of Michael, Chris and Stevie and look into it. To groups and individuals new to this case, please understand that most of the books/news articles and ALL the movies/documentaries about this case are one-sided and very biased toward the supposed innocence of the West Memphis Three. Please take the time to do your own research on sites which present things about the case you dont hear in the media: callahan.8k westmemphisthreefacts wm3truth We dont know if the WM3 are guilty or innocent. What we do know is they spent 19 years and millions of dollars from supporters worldwide to prove they were innocent. Some of the top attorneys and celebrities in the country worked on the case. Once the WM3 finally won an opportunity from the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2011 to present their new evidence to a new, unbiased judge at an evidentiary hearing, they didnt present that evidence. Their attorneys worked out a deal for them to plead guilty in exchange for time served. That deal was accepted by a brand new and inexperienced prosecutor who publicly admitted he had not read the entire WM3 case file. He accepted the Alford Plea offer from the WM3 defense team in an effort to preserve the original guilty verdicts handed down by two separate juries in 1994. For those who dont know, those two juries were in counties far removed from any supposed satanic panic or witch hunt in West Memphis. They heard all the evidence and determined the WM3 were guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. (The trials were moved on a change of venue out of West Memphis to towns more than an hour away). The WM3 were not forced to plead guilty. They spent millions in supporter dollars to prove they were innocent. When they actually got a chance in court to prove someone else committed the crime, some of the top attorneys in the United States advised them to PLEAD GUILTY instead. Think about it. Use common sense and reason. Would these super star attorneys really advise three men to plead guilty, give up the opportunity to be exonerated, and forgo the chance to sue the state of Arkansas for MILLIONS if they believed their clients were innocent? No way. It would violate every ethical code in the books for these attorneys to allow the WM3 to plead guilty if the knew their clients were innocent. Further, there is substantial evidence the WM3 ARE guilty, not the least of which includes the multiple confessions of Jessie Misskelley throughout 1993-94 (something NONE of the movies bother to mention), the complete lack of alibis for all three defendants, and eye witnesses who placed Echols near the crime scene covered in mud on May 5, 1993 (witnesses who have never recanted). Most people are also unaware that 4 of the 6 surviving parents/step-parents of the victims believe the WM3 are guilty. Do you know more than they do? Hopefully, everyone who comes to this page is interested in the same goal -- justice for Michael, Chris and Stevie. If youve never seen any of the websites listed above, chances are youve only heard 1/2 the story -- the story presented to you by the men who were convicted, pled guilty, and remain guilty of these terrible murders. Please take the time to educate yourself on ALL the facts if you want to become involved in this case and truly search for justice for these precious little boys.
