Thanks to Defenders of Wildlife for underscoring the need to get clean energy right the first time. We can fight fossil fuels, and protect our wildlands, but we have to maintain a conservation ethic. The photo below is of a solar installation built on top of a closed landfill. "Rooftops, parking lots, and disturbed and degraded lands, often in the private domain, represent win-win opportunities to site renewable energy on lands that are low-quality habitats."
