Thanks to Facebook we all have this newfound ability to know what most of our friends think about most issues most of the time. So much so that I can almost always predict where many of yall stand on any given topic before you ever even post a single article or outraged update. Im sure the same is also true for me to some degree (I know this because whenever I post something that doesnt line up with what yall think I thought I get a deluge of private messages demanding I explain my dissenting opinion). However, because Im no longer aligning myself with the Republican party -although, obviously I do lean more Conservative- Im allowed to make up my own mind up about certain things, like whats going on in Missouri. And Im horrified. When I see stuff like this happening, ironically, I find myself RUNNING back to my Republican-small government-trust no one-especially not armed militarized police-just go buy guns-roots. And, again, it shows me just how fusterclucked the two party system is, because I see most of yall running the opposite direction and defending things like tanks rolling down city streets, our first amendment rights being trampled, and a corrupt government using this as an excuse to chip away at our civil liberties. I guess thats when being somewhat of an outsider actually comes in handy since it allows me to spot this huge inconsistency in what a lot of people are arguing for/against. The same people posting about #obummer and making pro-gun memes (because #tyranny) while liking pro-death penalty pages (because #justice) are making my head spin. I guess I just dont understand what you believe. Do you? You curse the very government that allows violence in the womb, then expect them to value your life and the lives of those around you. You dont trust them with our national debt, but youre fine with them giving tanks to local police (which I might add, just a year ago when video of those same police departments doing full on swat training in urban areas leaked so many of yall were going ape sheeze over it), but now suddenly were cool with it because #Murica?! All that to say, just because groups you normally agree with like The Blaze, or Fox News, or whoever your personal Republican Messiah is, have come out taking the side of the militarized police in Ferguson- you dont have to. Use your brain. Dont wait for your party to tell you what youre supposed to think. Be consistent. Find that one thing you know to be true, like idk... how about ALL HUMAN LIFE IS PRECIOUS, and align yourself with that rather than the conservative or liberal agenda thats making you contradict so much of what you stand for. *Posted are the only Talk Heads any of us should be listening to, IMO. ...But hey, again thats just my 2¢ because remember, were not letting other people tell us what to think anymore.
