Thanks to Steve Grant, a paying operator at the Central Bank of Nigeria, I am one of Americas newest millionaires, and I didnt have to lift a finger to make it out of the 99 percent. It was so easy. I woke up this morning, checked my e-mail, and there it was, a message from Mr. Grant informing me that $5 million had been transferred to an ATM card that would allow me to withdraw $10,000 per day. Wow, thats more than enough for me to roam the aisles at Whole Foods. Mr. Grants message went on to say that he would handle the few formalities that stood between me and that Nissan GTR that I planned to buy. Hed arrange to have my pin number programmed and the card sent to me via FedEx. Thank you, Jesus. Wells Fargo, my current bank, eat your heart out. Youre history, I thought. Central Bank of Nigeria, here I come. Finally, I took a deep breath, a bank that understands my need to get filthy rich without having to do extraordinary work. All I had to do, the e-mail went on to say, is provide Mr. Grant with my name, Social Security number, telephone number, and mailing address. No problem, happy to do it. I started typing a reply: Dear Mr. Grant: Thank you for your note, and for the much needed funds. My name is Tony F. Mack. We have a lot in common, I am pleased to say. My Social Security number is 111-22-3333. In late spring of next year, I can be reached through the Federal Bureau of Prisons, 320 First St., NW, Washington, DC 20534. Unfortunately, I wont be able to take phone calls. Sincerely, Tony F. Mack One of Americas Worst Urban Mayors
