Thanks to all my FB friends for your concerns and caring. On Monday last week I went to the ER at our local VA Hospital with what turned out to be esophagitis, when everything Id ingested, liquid or solid, was being vomited back up (this went on for 48 hours before I went). The two and a half mile ride to the Albuquerque VAMC will come with a bill for $513.00. They were looking for sources of possible internal bleeding so I got the X-ray, the CT scan, the tube down my nose to my stomach, and my first ever endoscopy just hours after Joan Rivers got hers (R.I.P. Joan!) I also suffer from the mens bane, prostate problems, so they threw in a free digital rectal exam (gaggghhh!) I am left in a state of recovery and a serious lethargy after having gone without food, water or sleep for almost a week. It was heart-warming to see FB friends curious and concerned.
