THANK YOU FOR THE BROKEN HEART Part three Itd been three weeks since my run in with Gospel, and I hadnt seen her since. It was like shed disappeared in to thin air, and it didnt help that I didnt have a number or an address to search her on. Why didnt I get her number? I couldnt help but kick myself. How the hell was I meant to carry out my mission when the one girl I needed was nowhere to be found? I was starting to think that she was simply a figment of my imagination, when I heard that familiar voice. I couldve picked it up from anywhere. Just to confirm that I wasnt just hearing things I looked up and saw that petite figure across the road, cracking jokes with what looked like another guy. Jealousy ran through my veins and at that time all I wanted to was knock that smile off his face. I stood there wondering what to do. Should I go across and interrupt them? Or walk past like I dont know shes there? What to do? What to do? and before I knew it I was crossing the road and walking towards her. I had just reached them when that guy pulled Gospel in for a hug. Am I interrupting something? I eyed that guy out daring him to say something stupid. I was hoping he would. Itd be a good excuse to knock him out. Gospel stared me down. Not even a smile. Her eyes cold. Yeap. She was still pissed.. Yeah you were actually. Now be a good little boy and walk on by...She turned her back on me, waved her hand and said Be gone niggz. I felt myself growl at her dismissal. Now now sweet cheeks, is that any way to greet your bf?. Eyes wide she turned back Boyfriend these Devlan...Its Devon dammit! It wasnt until the random guy cleared his throat that I realized we still had company. Hi Im Bryce I churred him Devon..Nice to meet you Devon. Seems to me like Gossie forgot to mention that minor boyfriend detail.. I narrowed my eyes at the sound of that ugly nickname again Its Gospel.. Not Gossie and she tends to do that a lot. You know.. Forget things dont you babe?.. Gospel held her middle finger up. That sassy attitude was back, and I found it to be a turn on. I arched my brow Tell me. How do the two of you know each other?..Bryce nudged Gospel and smiled We grew up together. Shes been my bestfriend since diapers were invented..I nodded. Gospel clearly had a soft spot for this Bryce guy which got me thinking Did you two date?.. Bryce choked Nah man. Never! I mean dont get me wrong, Gospels drop dead gorgeous, but I dont look at her that way.... Just then Gospel shushed him You dont have to explain yourself B.... She looked at me.. clearly annoyed that I was still standing there, but I didnt care. I wanted that other guy gone so that Gospel and I could talk Bryce if you dont mind I was hoping to speak to Gospel alone!..Bryce smiled Algoods. Shes all yours.. He turned to her and kissed her on the cheek Call me later yeah? Have fun and he walked off. As soon as wed lost sight of him Gospel turned around and stormed off leaving me standing there like an idiot. I followed after her Hey now! Wait up!.. Piss off Dev...As much as I enjoyed the view from the back I couldnt forget why I was tryna get her attention. I ran to catch up with her and pulled her to a stop.. She pulled her arm from my grip What do you want niggz?..I wanted to apologise for the other day...She folded her arms Im listening....Good..I had her right where I wanted her.. All I had to do now was make my apology sound meaningful or Id be kissing my vendetta good bye.. I shouldnt have said what I did. It was harsh and I didnt expect it to sound so heartless and Im sorry. Ill work on my people skills if you agree to go out with me sometime...Like a date?..I smiled for the first time that day Yeah like a date. We can start over.. Deal?.. She put her tiny hand in mine and shook on it. Deal... I finally let out a breath of pure relief.. Stage one of getting her to agree to a date was complete.
