Thanks to everybody for all of the birthday wishes! Im sorry if I have been lax in wishing the same for others over the past year or so. My apologies! I realize now how lucky I have been in my life. Perhaps I missed out on a lot of things because I was overly cautious when I was younger, but because of that caution I have a lot more freedom now than I might have otherwise. Some may find the way I have lived my life somewhat strange, but I assure you, it made sense to me at the time... ;) Ive now lived long enough that I am starting to see connections to things in the past that others seem to be missing, and to realize just how very little I actually know about anything at all. Things that before seemed huge and impressive to me earlier seem to have greatly diminished in value and importance, while other things seem to value more than ever. I finally am starting to have an appreciation for time. It always seemed like I would be here forever, but it is finally sinking in that my time here may be limited, despite Ray Kurzweils wishful thinking. But is my life half over? 2/3rds over? More? Less? Ill never know. But facing the idea that it is limited (still kind-of in denial) makes me wonder if I am really making the best use of my time? If I lived to the same age as my father, Id be dead in 22 years. Id really better hurry if I want to accomplish anything! If I live as long as his mother, I have 52 more years! The sky is the limit! But that probably isnt a license to dawdle... My father gave me great advice, before he passed away. He said Dont get old! Ive been trying to live up to that my whole life!
