Thanks to everyone who particpated in last nights full moon (?) snowshoe hike at Up Yonda Farm and the restaurant crawl in downtown Bolton which followed. For the first annual, this was hugely successful! The Bolton Landing Chamber of Commerce welcomes your feedback. Help us, help YOU! Please do not mention the fact that we overlookeed daylight savings though. whoops! It occured to me after all of the promotional ads, posters, etc. had already been produced and distributed.....this was a trial run, and well refine it with practice! Thank you, Peter Olesheski and Matt Sprow of Up Yonda Farm (guidance and snowshoe loans) as well as Elaine Chiovarou-Brown for creating the very effective poster, Kate Van Dyck for her very cool logo, Wauneata Waller for the moon stamp and help promoting this at the ADK Sports and Fitness Expo, Judy Forshay for taking the initial hike-through with me, and the rest of the BOD of the Bolton Landing Chamber of Commerce for your support and brainstorming. Restaurant participants included Mr. Browns Pub at the Sagamore, Cates Italian Garden, Fredericks, the MarketPlace, the Lakeside Lodge and Grille, and the Chateau on the Lake. Weve guesstimated that we had +/-75 participants from all over Warren County, the Albany Capital District, as well as visitors from entirely out of the area who either learned about it at the Expo, social media, or from The Sagamore on Lake George! What a warm sense of community was felt among the locals and pang of excitement for newcomers! (and the discovery of one of Boltons best kept treasures (Up Yonda) and I heard several people remark that they were patronizing some of the restaurants in town for the first time! Party-Fitness! Thats what the Daks are all about! Fresh air and a little exercise in a breathtaking natural setting in a tight community that loves a good time!
