Thanks to good friend and supporter Jack Zimmerman, a U.S. Army Afghanistan War veteran, wounded warrior and hero, for helping fellow veterans understand my policies to help veterans receive the same quality, timely care as Congress. In fact, I believe veterans should hold their own private insurance, choose their own doctors and hospitals (or use the VA if they wish), receive medical care when they need it and have medical care funded via vouchers and direct tax credits. Veterans, like Jack and his friends, have sacrificed so much for us and our country, and promises made to provide them with needed medical care must be met. As congressman, I will work hard to defeat the current VA bureaucracy and Washington, D.C. status quo on veterans issues and fight for legislation to provide Americas military heroes with the same level of quality, timely medical care as Congress.
