Thanks to the generosity of many caring friends and compassionate triathletes who purchased ice cream and donated to the 2014 Rose City Triathlon Marble Slab Creamery Fundraiser for Janice and Kristin. This afternoon, Tim Meyers, the first of our members seriously injured by a distracted motorist several years ago, presented each lady with an ice cream cone shaped pinata containing $335, a copy of the fundraiser poster designed by Christy Richbourg, and a temporary tattoo compliments of Monty Geddie. Janice, Tim and Kristins mother all received RCT participant t-shirts (Kristin had already received one). Kristin now has 2 finisher medals from the RCT - one from Tammy Rooney and one from Steve Farris. Today was a special moment in time for 3 of our friends whose courage and determination have inspired everyone.
