Just a reminder to everyone in the Detroit area, if you have not seen an announcement elsewhere, or from St. Clare directly, that beginning of October St. Clare will be offering a new study titled “Christ Life”, designed to explore issues of faith, our relationship with Christ, and ways we can live and share what we have received with others. The study entails dinner/continental breakfast, a short video, and small discussion groups to explore the covered themes for each presentation. This is a study format that is growing in popularity, most recently with the “Alpha” course at St. Clare, in which people are able to talk about real issues in a relaxed manner with people just like themselves who are looking for ways to grow their faith, regardless of what stage of that faith they are in. There is real joy in the air these days, starting with Father Andrew, and increased participation by more and more people in a full schedule of activities. I mention this only in passing, so no pressure, just a friendly nudge to participate in whatever way, for whatever reason. The study lasts seven weeks, with two more associated seven week studies to follow for those who want to continue, and a choice of either Sunday mornings following 9:00 Mass (start date October 5), or Thursday evenings (start date October 9). Below is a short video, which gives some sense of what the study is about, but obviously not a full one.
