Thanksgiving--Thanks for[ ]giving. It has become a time to celebrate money. It has become a time to get more stuff. It has become a time to shop. It has become a time to celebrate more of me. That I get more of what I want... That I get more of me time... Now since when have we thought about what OTHERS NEED? Have our eyes become so blind, and our minds become so diverted that we cannot hear the cries of the poor? Have we become so calloused by our desires to please ourselves, that we would rather forsake the widow, and the orphan? Give and receive a harvest of thanksgivings. Thanks for giving, my friend. O that I would not be like that rich, young ruler. O that my heart would produce a proclivity not for prosper. O that I would be like the one who sold all for the precious jewel in the field. O that my heart would be rich in Christ, and for His kingdom. That I may forsake all for the sake of Christ... That I may appear to hate the world compared to how I love God... That I may cherish his grace and mercy... For I was once of the old dispensation... For He makes all things new... For His goodness I will rest in His arms... Christ was the only legal tender for my sins. Christ is the only way, the truth, and the life. Christ will come back again, and come as the glorious King of all kings, and Lord of all lords. He gave and He shall receive that harvest of thanksgiving. Thanks for forgiving. Thanks for giving, Jesus.
