Thanksgiving defined in the Bible is Giving thanks to God for everything that we receive at his hand. Our lives, our food, our drink...everything that he supplies us with. The dictionary defined Thanksgiving three ways: 1. the act of giving thanks.. 2. a prayer expressing gratitude and 3rd a public acknowledgment or celebrating divine goodness. What beautiful definitions of a beautiful word. I just wanted to tell all my FB friends how Thankful I am for all of you. Some I see and hear from daily, some a few times a year and some just through FB...but how wonderful it is to have you in my life. Now I must say Thanks to my dear family and loved ones for their love and support 365 days a year. This year especially Jim and I are Thanking God for having Mom still with us for Thanksgiving and for her 99th Birthday tomorrow (Nov. 29). Its been a tough month for Mum since shes come home from hospital the first of Nov. Shes eating so much better (even a piece of chocolate candy once in awhile) and walking 3-4 times a day but she has a ways to go. Her strength isnt what it should be but were praying each day itll get better. What a terrific Mom shes been to us...AMAZING in my book. Id like to say thanks on Moms behalf for the prayers, cards, calls and best wishes for her recovery and her Birthday. I know shell be playing the piano and getting to church on Gods time schedule...She loves all of you as do Jim and I. Sincerely....Joy
