"Thankyou ANC" Themba Rhadebe wrote on News24 Comrade, friends, fellow South Africans, It is with great honour that I address this letter to the African Nation Congress (ANC), to thank them for the work that they have done for us as South Africans. While others may be ungrateful of your work, We salute you ANC. We honour you ANC. You shed your blood and lost families for us to live in a better South Africa. You have provided for us, you gave us shelter, food, education jobs freedom and hope. The ANC government has achieved an enormous amount in terms of electrification, house building, water provision and the much needed infrastructure such as roads, schools and public health institutions. We are also confident that the massive infrastructure development plans announced by President Jacob Zuma early this year will help our country to industrialise and deal with the triple challenge of unemployment, poverty and inequality. The increase in budget allocation for the no-fee schools is also a clear indication that our government is dealing with the legacy of apartheid. We THANK YOU ANC The ANC-led government has also done the following: Government has built 3 million homes 3,5 million homes electrified Government has reduced mother to child HIV transmission Government has reduced HIV transmissions Spends R90 billion on social grants Millions of learners don’t pay school fees Thousands of students receive tertiary financial aid Government has reduced crime rate Government has improved access to healthcare Government has built schools and roads Crafted a national development plan We Thank You ANC. 100 years of Selfless Struggle. Let me remind you why I’m writing this, before 27 April 1994, the minority believed that the majority was “inferior,” less than human, and therefore not entitled to the most fundamental rights and protections of the human condition. This racism was embodied in an authoritarian political system and expressed in law and in the structures and policies of every institution in South African society. It was enforced by violence; torture, extra-judicial executions and massacres, detentions, dispossessions, the destruction of whole communities, and systematic humiliation comprise only part of the arsenal of oppression but our heroes, our comrades kept the fight going because they believed that one day we shall prevail, we shall be free and we are free because of the ANC. 100 years of Selfless Struggle Thank you ANC for the love you have shown to your people. Thank you ANC for the food we put on our tables. Thank you ANC for the job opportunities available to us. Thank you ANC for providing us with lights and water. Thank you ANC for shelter over our heads. Thank you ANC for Peace and Friendship! Thank you ANC for everything and everything else The African National Congress shares the quest for prosperity and a better life for all South Africans, a passion the ANC has had for almost a century now. The African National Congress will take this country forward to one that is free from poverty in which every woman, man and child lives in freedom, dignity and prosperity. I encourage all South Africans to go out in numbers and vote for the ANC in 2014. The youth of South African must not be fooled by these banana parties who think they can do better than the ANC. No party can do better. The ANC shall continue to govern. Dear South African Youth: This ANC is ours, the future of this country lies in our hands, with us in government, the government of the ANC. Do not be mislead by the media, do not be mislead by this banana party, the DA. Le ANC eyethu (This ANC is ours) “…with God’s help, we shall prevail.” The ANC, which is the oldest liberation movement in the continent. Presidents since 1912: John Langalibalele Dube from 1912-1917 Sefako Makgatho from 1917 to 1924 ZR Mahabane served his first term from 1924 to 1927 Josiah Gumede from 1927 to 1930 Pixley ka Isaka Seme from 1930 to 1936 ZR Mahabane`s second term from 1937 to 1940 AB Xuma from 1940 to 1949 James Moroka from 1949 to 1952 Albert Luthuli from 1952 to 1967 Oliver Reginald Tambo from 1967 to 1991 Nelson Mandela from 1991 to 1997 Thabo Mbeki from 1997 to 2007 Jacob Zuma from 2007. The leadership of these men, remarkable! I stand tall and salute you all comrades. “God expects [the ANC] to rule this country because we are the only organisation which was blessed by pastors when it was formed. It is even blessed in Heaven. That is why we will rule until Jesus comes back.” “Those who vote for the ANC will be blessed on earth and heaven (sic).” Join the ANC now!
