That is a Saturn 1B/ It was the first block B Apollo and carried the first Apollo crew to orbit. The mission proved the Apollo spacecraft to be a wonderful flying machine. I think this was one of the most beautiful Apollo launch configurations even though it did not have enough power to carry a LEM or get out of earth orbit. The second state is an S-IVb and it was the third stage of all the moon Apollos. That was the last rocket my daddy designed before leaving the space program and the much more powerful modern version of the engine is the only componant of the moon era that is still in service.
