That moment when your almost 11 year-old daughter walks into the house and sees the mountain of clean laundry thats been sitting for a week behind the couch. She eyes it critically ... Her: Ummm ... Mom, we all know laundry is your least favorite chore. Ill make you a deal. Ill fold clothes if you clean my room. Me: *bites my lip to keep from grinning* Its a deal! Her: *fist pump* Awesome! *she grins* You should totally see my room! Me: *opens the door to her bedroom and groans dramatically* I think I got played. Her: Its called a trick, Mom. Its called a trick. Me: *sighs* Ten minutes later, Im done picking up her room. Twenty minutes later, shes still folding laundry. Her: *groaning* I think you dont fold on purpose. Me: Im working on a world record. Ten minutes later, she folds the last shirt and sighs. Her: Thank goodness. Me: *devious grin* Theres three more clean loads in the laundry room. Her: *eyes narrowing* I think I got played. Me: Its called a trick, sweetheart. its called a trick. 😊
