That song you hear on the radio - chances are it started off just a metronome, a sample, a piano loop or a guitar riff. Even if the verses were written in 10 minutes, every line has been 2nd guessed then re-layed over & over til it sounds the way it did in my head. Ive questioned my delivery, my flow, am I convincing enough? Ive lay awake at night over it. Its been scrapped and started again. Whoever produced it has over-thought those drums a million times, sounds have been experimented with, added and removed. Theres 100 versions in my iTunes. Others have lost sleep. Its been passed through several trustworthy hands & ears, mixed more than once, mastered more than once till everyones 100% that THIS is the one. For you to be like this song sucks .... hahaha nah! Serious note - this shit is a labour of love, and the process is a beautiful thing. S/O every ARTIST - respect.
