That split-second moment - The things that go through your mind when you realize you may just have a few seconds left are pretty eye-opening. As I was sitting at the red light watching the big dully truck with the long trailer coming in at a high-speed and as he got closer and not slowing down I couldnt move forward because of the car in front of me who was not aware of what was going on . my thoughts as this truck and trailer were barreling towards me were of my daughter Valerie as I was becoming very aware of her presence. Three seconds before this truck was about to crash into me he suddenly swerved to the right with his trailer missing me by A couple of inches. Wow- it happens that fast. Deep breath and very thankful to be able to be here still to write this post. I guess I just got my Christmas present.
