“That’s Racist Against White People!” A Discussion on Power and Privilege When we talk about racism, theres often a few who derail the conversation by claiming thats racist against white people! While you can be prejudiced against white people, you cant be racist towards them because racism needs to be backed by systemic oppression. So when we talk about racism, lets not conflate interpersonal slights or prejudice with larger systems of oppression.
