Those businesses are source of gainful employment to many Nigerians. 3. Another contribution of air transport which is closely related to job creation is that it aids mobility of labour. For example, oil companies are particularly making use of this air advantage transporting their staff to and from Lagos or Port Harcourt to their off shore installation oil on daily basis. 4. Air transport promotes trade and commerce:- The improvement in air transport and communication worldwide has reduced the world to nothing more than a global village and it is bringing about a continuous increase in specialization. A considerable proportion of Nigerian export and import businesses are being transacted by air. Produce like Gum Arabic, Kolanut among others are being exported by air while a lot of finished products from overseas are being imported into Nigeria by air.
