The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of A Window And Disappeared. Watched 15/8/2014 at the fabulous Cottage Road cinema in Leeds. What a fabulous film. Dynamite expert Allan Karlsson turns 100, and escapes from the care home he was reluctantly living in by jumping out of his window. We are then taken through his life so far, as he makes his daring escape from a marzipan cake adorned with 100 candles, and we follow an unlikely sequence of events as he makes new friends. Based on the book by Jonas Jonasson, this is a great movie. The cinematography is superb, and we really root for the main characters as they plot their daring road trip, armed with a special suitcase! The way everything links together is superb, and there are lots of genuine laughs along the way too. Definitely worth seeing. 9.5/10 from me
