The 2 lane country backroad where I love to run is a household favorite for local bikers. Just past mile 7, I came across a cyclist fixing a flat tire. Hes a retired Marine and former triathlete. He is primarily a cyclist these days, but we shared a few words of encouragement. Hell end his day with 44 road miles, and I crossed the line at 14 miles this morning. He was finishing up putting his tire back on as I thanked him for his service and went trotting along. It was honor to meet my new friend, Will, this morning. Im at 59 miles. Gonna be another close finish.
