The #2 ranked Cobras successfully wrapped up the Parkland Invite with two more victories to conclude their tournament record at 6-0 and improve to 25-2 overall. Both matches featured all 16 Cobras showing the present and future of the team. In the first match, Parkland had a rematch with Owens CC (Ohio) who the Cobras defeated for 3rd place at Nationals last season. PC controlled start-to-finish winning 25-13, 25-12, 25-16. Elise Dahlke led with 10 kills, Alexis Clemons had 7 and Teigan Flaws had 6. Emily Wilson had 14 assists while Jordan Wooden had 13. Kait Hunt led the defensive effort with 20 digs. In the second match, the Cobras faced off with Macomb (Michigan), and PC continued the hot play with a straight set victory 25-16, 25-13, 25-13. Dahlke continued her fine play with 9 kills while Ally Krenz knocked down 8. Several Cobras notched multiple kills, digs and assists on the match. PC takes a well-deserved day off tomorrow before getting back in the gym to prepare for a region and conference match with Danville on Wednesday night at Danville.
