The 2014 Exmoor Ales 20/20 finals day hosted at Dulverton CC saw HSPCC beat Porlock by ten wickets in the semi-final thanks to a superb bowling/fielding performance that restricted them to just 72 all out. Dan Coles with 33no saw them home with plenty of overs to spare. Roadwater were the opponents in the final and after choosing to bat a superb opening burst of 4 overs, 2 for 12 from Sam Franks saw them on early trouble. HSPCC kept up the pressure and never allowed Roadwater to get away and a final total of 100 off of 20 overs looked very gettable. Robert Venn hit a rapid 40 and despite a middle order collapse Tez and Sam Franks (11no) guided the team home with an over to spare and Franks was chosen as Man of Match in the post match awards. A big thanks to Robert Dubery, Dulverton CC and all involved in putting on such a fantastic day.
