The 2014 Gijima Information Technology Business Learnership Programme(ITBLP) is finally here! Gijima, a leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services company together with other companies from the ICT and Banking sectors have partnered with the Belgium Campus to offer an ICT qualification of a high quality and standard to prospective learners. The Information Technology Business Learnership Programme (ITBLP) qualification and its associated learning programme are aligned with the skills needed when entering the ICT and banking industries. The learning programme consists of the following specialisation areas: · Programming in Java/Microsoft.Net/Cobol · Mainframe · Databases (Oracle) · ICT Networking and Security Learners will obtain a National Diploma in ICT Studies at the end of the 24 months-programme (12 months theoretical and 12 months’ workplace). Learners will further be subjected to an open-learning environment (distance learning) in order to complete their diploma. If vacant posts are available, employment will be offered to candidates who successfully complete the learnership. Admission requirements Candidates who adhere to the following admission requirements should apply: Recently matriculated with the minimum entry requirements for higher education as set out by the Department of Education, with a minimum NSC level 5 (Symbol C) pass in Mathematics and English applicants. Be willing to study and stay in the Gauteng Province. Be willing to undergo screening assessments. Have no criminal record. Must be a South African citizen. Please note: The subject Mathematical Literacy will not be considered. How to apply?
