The 2014 Kzoo, held in honor of two fallen officers, including our Patty, was a wonderful event and so much fun! Eileen and I both ran in the 3.5 mile simulated cross country police chase. Mom and Dad O brought Pats Memorial patrol car. Our dear friend, Rick came out to represent the WBPD. Mom O and I both released white doves to open the event. That was a beautiful experience, to release the perfect sign of peace, the symbol of the Holy Spirit, into the world. I found that to be very moving for me. I feel so honored to have this years event dedicated to Pats memory, raising money for the beautiful MI-COPS organization. They have brought me so much peace over these two years. Im grateful to all those who put their time and efforts into making this fun event a success, especially Dave Ostrem. I was thrilled that I crossed the finish line, for I have felt out of shape lately. I was even more thrilled to see the results, that Id placed 155th overall. I was so excited to see that wink from Patrick printed there. Thank you to everyone for inviting us and for remembering our Patrick! Please, mark your calendars for next year.
