The 2014 M. Donnelly GAA All-Ireland Poc Fada finals have been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions following a course inspection this morning. The GAA say they took the decision as the safety of the participants is paramount and was the main reason for arriving at the decision to postpone the event. The finals were due to be held today, August 2 on Annaverna Mountain, Ravensdale in Co. Louth. There were two Clare men due to participate, Whitegates Andrew Fahy, who won the Munster title last month, and 2013 All Ireland winning goalkeeper Patrick Kelly from Inagh/Kilnamona. The GAA say an announcement will be made early next week to confirm a rescheduled date for the competition.
