The 2015 NSFAS Appeals Process for DUT Students It must be - TopicsExpress

The 2015 NSFAS Appeals Process for DUT Students It must be noted that the lodging of an appeal for funding does not imply that an academic space or a place in the residences will be reserved pending the outcome of the appeal. Who may Appeal? 1. (a) the Appeals process for January 2015 is only for existing NSFAS DUT students who have been unsuccessful on the grounds of poor academic results based on set criteria (this category of student must not reapply to NSFAS but must follow the appeals process listed below). and (b) for continuing DUT students but 1st time NSFAS applicants who applied online and on time (by 30 November 2014) but who have been unsuccessful on the grounds of poor academic results based on set criteria. and (c) for Grade 12 applicants who applied to NSFAS online and on time (by 30 November 2014) who have been made offers to study at DUT but who have been unsuccessful on the grounds of poor academic results. No appeals will be considered from students who did not apply online and on time. NB: If you were unsuccessful for any other reason, you must not appeal but re-apply online to NSFAS. 2. Students must fill in an Appeals Form at the Financial Aid Office (FAO) at DUT. 3. The DUT FAO can only accept appeals for the reasons stated in 1a above. 4. The FAO will submit the appeals forms to NSFAS. 5. Students may not submit appeals forms directly to NSFAS and should not send appeals forms to any NSFAS email addresses. 6. NSFAS will inform the DUT FAO of the outcomes of the appeals. 7. The FAO will be responsible for notifying students of the outcomes. THANK YOU.
