The 2015 half of our Rotary year got away to a most enjoyable start on January 14 when we enjoyed President Brian and Prues excellent hospitality. There our president demonstrated he is just as at home hovering over a barbeque as presiding over a meeting. To take everyones minds temporally off food, an entertaining hour was spent between courses, demonstrating teamwork and initiative by tackling five challenges. These included fishing in the swimming pool with feeble magnets, cooking pikelets on jam tin stoves, using ropes to lasso and extract blocks from an atomic reactor and erecting an unco-operative tent. Gourmet fans and cooks had a head start in identifying a dozen food ingredients ranging from olive oil (extra virgin please) to mouth numbing tartaric acid. A great night and special thanks to our hosts.
