The 22nd Annual Quiz Bowl competition was held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at UNK, and we are proud to say that our Kearney team brought home the 3rd place trophy and earned individual medals! Among the 34 teams there, our top brains battled many of the finest in central Nebraska. Our brilliant Kearney team is comprised of students from Sunrise & Horizon. Those earning 3rd place with their stellar performance are Madison Schirmer, Mia Kegley, Jackson McFadden, Michael Huebner , Allison Sheen, Megan Darveau, Jaden Engen, Blake Mills, and our “Core Four”: Kollin Goff, Caden Lightle, John Brockmeier, all led by our captain, Matthew Jameson. Congratulations to all involved!!! Once again, you have made Kearney proud! The team is coached by Barb Wegner & Kayleen Fleming, along with a student assistant, Tianna Engen.
