The 5.30pm report Day two back at home and another slow start, catching up on sleep from an early awakening, Sophie woke around 3am this morning in some pain and nausea. She did manage to get back to sleep and we again woke her around 9.30am this morning and inspected her dressing over her eye, this and again needed immediate attention. I think we may need to make changes to the application of her dressing over her left eye. A more hearty breakfast this morning including juice and fresh fruit. Then again a quick catch up on the FB posts from last night’s report and then managed to answer a friendly phone call from grand parents, aunty Margie and Nana Shirl. Semi exhausted and in some pain Sophie retreated back to her feathered nest for more recuperation. Rather slow day from then on, a small graze for lunch followed by a nap... Some very kind friends dropped in this afternoon and Sophie ventured outside on to our drive way to say Hi. Thanks to Ben, Em, Lizzy & James, and Karen from a few doors up the road, very generous and kind of you all. Sophie is going very well, is having random bouts of dizziness and that old favorite nausea in the tummy. Our couch is starting to get a work out as she is venturing out of her nesting box more and more, which mates Helen and I very happy. Again we are taking one steady step after another which seems to be working, and making it down stairs today and out in the sun was the goal that she set and achieved.... we are all very happy Thanks all for your well wishes, the phone calls, texts and the visitors. Helen and I are so happy she is feeling much better. We would also like to thank the parents of Alices friends for helping Helen and I by taking Alice for day visits and sleep overs over this past 7 days while we have attended to Sophie and our businesses, thank you for your caring and kindness towards our youngest daughter Alicat many thanks.
