The ABCD@EF Trust, Inc. Mark Keith Balser-Dietzer, Director LET THERE BE LIGHT POBox 0101 Elwood, IN 46036 SLR-7-PHOTOS March 20, 2014 The People of Madison County: RE: Commemorative Space In Memory of a loved one: Gentleperson: Are you looking for a place to display a lifetime of photos from your family’s past? One solution to this problem could be a room in THE DIGITAL Arts Centre @Anderson dedicated to the memory of your family or a loved one. In seeking a sponsor of this new community photo gallery, I am in need of someone to help in securing financing for the acquisition of the building at 1100 Broadway, Anderson, Indiana. I am not talking about a donation, although that would be appreciated, but I am looking for someone to help secure a bank loan of $100,000. That in turn would trigger a loan from The City of Anderson Economic Development Agency for an additional $50,000. The purchase price of the building is $145,000. This is a 501c(3), not for profit, endeavor. I have transferred over $1,000,000 in real estate assets into The Avery, Balser, Clifton, Dietzer @Elwood Foundation Trust, Inc. earlier this month and income from these operations will help fund the day-to-day operation of THE DIGITAL Arts Centre @anderson. Any sale of these assets would be a part of the Trust. This would have been The Carnegie Cultural Centre @elwood if I had been able to secure the 1904 Carnegie Library Building in Elwood. But this was not to be. The 1966, Art Deco, Laymen Life Insurance Building in Anderson is a better choice for the gallery. It is handicap accessible, has ground level access to the front and a ramp to the rear parking area, and has an elevator to the lower level community activity space and to the second floor, which is available for future expansion. There is a total of 22,500 sq.ft. in the building and it is in excellent condition. It will be a great community gathering place. It is set in ShadySide Memorial Park in Anderson surrounded by trees. If you feel that you would like to establish a lasting memorial to the history of your family in pictures then consider this as an excellent option. The photos would be copied and reproduced in black and white and mounted in suitable frames for display in a separate room located just off the main gallery space. You should be prepared to provide a short history of the photos to display alongside the works. Sincerely, marKeith
