The ACT Government is expected to take possession of its first Mr Fluffy loose-fill asbestos house before the end of the week. The Government has decided to buy back and demolish the more than 1,000 Mr Fluffy houses which are scattered across Canberra over the next five years. Earlier this month the ACT Legislative Assembly unanimously passed a bill to allow $750 million to be used to begin the Mr Fluffy buyback scheme.
