The AIMS games for intermediate (middle) school children are an institution. Schools from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific descend on Tauranga for a week of sports ranging from football to archery to bowls to athletics. Redoubt North School are one of the poorest schools in the country - the school and community got behind the boys football team to get them to the 2014 NZCT AIMS GAMES. They have shown what is possible with passion, hard work and determination. Several of the boys had never stayed away from home, left the Auckland region, stayed in a hotel and for one boy it was the first time he had been to the beach. If your year 7 and 8 children are not involved with the AIMS games check out where 7500 competitors and 1500 coaches are in September every year.
