The ANCYL as a preparoty school of the ANC, should produce future leaders of ANC. It is important that leaders of ANC assist in grooming members and leaders of ANC through organisational principles .as well as mentoring us in order to understand the ANC and its disciplinary codes and rules. In a normal situation the ANC should be able to guide the ANCYL on the process of generational mix...ancyl should not be fighting for space within anc structures. ..smooth transition process is suppose to unfold . However failure to guide the ANCYL by anc or uncontrolled ambitions by the ancyl has produced leaders of ancyl who after graduating becomes celebraties instead of taking the struggle forward This is a situation caused by failure or resistances on understanding the process of political transitions. What should be the purpose of calling the ancyl a Preparatory school if the founder of the school in this case the anc is not ready to utilise its graduates? ? Eastern cape is so far leading by example .at its latest provincial congress ws witnessed leaders of ANC providing political guidance and leadership by allowing leaders and former leaders of ancyl to be elected with them Maybe in other provinces also we leaders of ancyl are to be blamed as provincial and regional structures of ancyl has its nomination forms for anc congresses but in most cases we prioritise people who have never been members of ANCYL and pronounce them.. Moving towards congresses. ..we hopping for principled transitional proceses to unfold. ..informed by organisational principles.
