The Afghan soldier who killed a U.S. two-star general and wounded 15 at Camp Qargha fired two to three bursts of gunfire from a bathroom where he was hiding in, before he was killed by Afghan forces, according to a Defense Department official. Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene, a 34-year U.S. Army veteran, was the highest-ranked American officer killed in combat in the wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
