The Amelia Island Garden Show is pleased to announce that Bonny Harrell of MAD Plants will join the 2014 Amelia Island Garden Show as a new vendor. Started in 2001, MAD stands for the three Harrell children, Michael, Amanda, and Daniel and specializes in finding and growing new and interesting tropicals for you to add to your garden. These tropicals are well suited for Florida weather both summer and winter. At the Show, MAD will have available many varieties of bamboo, bananas both ornamental and edible, gingers, heliconia, alocasia/colocasia, ti plants, both white birds of paradise and orange birds of paradise, crinum lilies and more. Mark your calendar for the 3rd weekend in April when Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Event, the Amelia Island Garden Show, celebrates its 5th year at Central Park. For two days, April 19 & 20, Mother Nature shows off her brightest colors in a vast array of botanical wonders from nurseries and growers showcasing a full assortment of flowers, ferns, fruit trees, palms, orchids, native plants, herbs, container gardens, succulents, bamboo, roses, butterfly-friendly plants, shrubs and much more complemented with garden accessories such as pottery, outdoor wall and fence décor, framed outdoor art, furniture and more.
