The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage will hold a press conference tomorrow in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" to announce the launch of its website and the initiation of its first field operations in support of the world heritage in Yemen, coinciding with the presence of its new Director, former UNESCO Advisor, Director of the World Heritage Centre and Director General of Architectural and Environmental Heritage, Dr. Mounir Bouchenaki. The launch of this documentary and informational website comes to announce the beginning of documentation and set-up information network to be an official reference for heritage sources, research and studies in the Arab world. The press conference also addresses the future action plan of the field operations to take place in the Republic of Yemen, and ways of cooperation for the protection and evaluating the remnants to be placed on the World Heritage List. The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage in Bahrain is the first of its kind in the Middle East which provides expertise and technical and economic support as well as international methods and techniques followed to lead the Arab heritage to the international level.
