The Arts Management Program in the School of the Arts invites you to attend this months IN THE MIX series. “Video Production Monday, November 17th at 6:30 pm Simons Center’s Recital Hall – 54 St. Philip Street This event is free and seating is on a first come/first served basis – no tickets are necessary Moderated by Mark Bryan, Adjunct Professor of Arts Management THIS MONTH’S GUESTS: Potsy Ponciroli Based in Nashville, Potsy has been directing music videos since 2006. He has worked with artists such as Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Cage the Elephant, Yelawolf, Billy Currington and Brantley Gilbert among others. In 2010 he wrote and directed his first feature film, ‘Super Zeroes’ and founded Hideout Pictures, a film and TV company that has since grown into a reputable production company specializing in commercials, music videos, feature films and television. In addition he has produced several feature films including “Entertainment”, “The Possession Experiment” and “Road to Chernobyl”. His unique style and creative approach to filmmaking is a blend of “all things Coen mixed with the humor of a Hangover movie”. He is a storyteller in the most visually unique way. Brad Jayne An independent producer and director, Brad specializes in high-end broadcast and internet media content. His work has been recognized by major film festivals and media organizations, such as Sundance Institute, Cucalorus, International Public Television Showcase, the American Jazz Museum, and TBSs World Funniest Commercials. Brad has founded and oversees programs that support the media arts in the Southeast and the world. This includes the South Carolina Film Commissions Indie Grants, where he produces short film projects by South Carolina filmmakers. In the three-year life of the program, their projects have been applauded by film festivals such as Palm Springs, Austin Film Festival, L.A. Film Festival, Toronto AfterDark, DragonCon, FantasticFest, Stiges Film Festival, Mediera Film Festival, and the Cleveland International Film Festival. He also founded and oversees the Young Filmmakers Project, a high-school filmmaking competition introducing the next generation of filmmakers to the technical and creative aspects of media arts.
