“The Awakening SHOUT.” “Oh, clap your hands, all you - TopicsExpress

“The Awakening SHOUT.” “Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! SHOUT to God with the voice of triumph! God has gone up with a SHOUT, The LORD with the sound of a trumpet.” (Psalm 47:1, 5)- Ask any military veteran and they will tell you how their days started with the shout of “Reveille”. May I encourage you to begin your day with a shout of triumph for what the Lord has done for you, what He is doing for you and what He will do for you. Shouting is a key part of our lives as His disciples. When Jesus burst out of that garden tomb on the first Resurrection Sunday it was with a shout and a clap that still sends the enemy and his minions into a nervous, trembling fit! For us, His disciples, the shout and the clap of that morning sets our minds that in Him we are triumphant overcomers in this life and that greater is He who is in us then he who is in the world. No matter what happens in your life, no matter the attacks of the enemy you can shout, “If God be for me, who can be against me?” Today may the reveille shout and trumpet of God awaken you to who you are in Him and that He in you is the hope of glory. And the seventh time it was so, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people; “SHOUT, for the LORD has given you the city!” (Joshua 6:16)- Remember what Mordecai told Esther? “Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). The Greek word for God is “theos” and the word carries the meaning of the One who creates, places and forms. God in His infinite wisdom designed the time and place in which you would be most effective in the destiny He has for you. Others have gone before you and laid the groundwork for you to fulfill God’s plan for you. God created you, placed you in the city where you live and formed a strategic plan for you to be His minister and take your city for His kingdom. Will you accept His destiny for your life? Can you be like the Israelites at Jericho work at your task and not speak doubt but wait until His timing to be fulfilled then let out a victorious shout of triumph and see the walls of obstacles come crashing down? Let me encourage you with this, the career God gave you is to support your work as you respond to the high calling of service in His kingdom. Whatever city you live in, join with your fellow believers in your church and SHOUT for God has given you that city. “Whatever I tell you in the dark, SPEAK in the light; and what I tell you in the ear, PREACH on the housetops.” (Matthew 10:27)- From science fiction stories we have heard of the “cloaking device”, where the ship can be hidden from sight. Religion wants to put a “cloaking device” on the Bible and require us to go to man for access to God. In His desire for a relationship with us God reacts to this “cloaking device” the same way He reacted to the veil in the temple when Jesus died. He wants to rip it apart and have a living, vital relationship with you. You see God desires us to walk in the light of wisdom about His word. As an example may I use the terms of “prophecy” and “intercession” to show you God’s desire for you to be wise about His workings? “Prophecy” is talking to man about God and “intercession” is talking to God about man. Simple and elegant, yes? What is really incredible about this verse is Jesus promises to tell us what we are to say as we minister in the cities we are taking for His kingdom. What Jesus tells you in your ear in the dark you can confidently shout in the light from your rooftops. Do you feel a shout rising up in you? For the LORD Himself will descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (1st Thessalonians 4:16)- Who shouts? Does the defeated team shout? No. The team that is victorious in the championship game is the one who shouts! When Jesus returns for His team He will be shouting the shout of a “more than conquering” champion. On December 8, 1940, in the NFL Championship Game, the Chicago Bears overcame the Washington Redskins by a score of 73-0. Don’t you know the Bears players and fans were shouting with the victorious shouts only a “super-conqueror” can shout with? Yet on that day when as Paul wrote to the Corinthians, So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then it shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in VICTORY. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” But thanks be to God, who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1st Corinthians 15:54-55, 57) we will be shouting with our King the shouts of victorious overcomers. Daily begin your day with a shout! I encourage you with the words of the shouting warrior King David, “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah. Our God is the God of salvation; and to God the Lord belong escapes from death.” (Psalm 68:19-20). Shout to God because He has made you triumphant. Shout to let the enemy know he has not yet, nor will he be able to defeat you and shout because God, the creating king of the universe, loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. Can you shout today? Do you receive it today? I know you do, now SHOUT UNTO THE LORD WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH!!!
